Serve for the future

"Serve for the future" is a sports and social project, whose launching was encouraged by the unenviable position of athletes in society after finishing their professional careers and the lesser interest of pupils for the sports.

For instance, very few professional athletes manage to combine education and sports due to the overload in their athletic schedule. This ultimately results in difficulties in getting along after professional career.

The goal of the project Serve for the future was to bring balance into top-quality sport and education, and ensure an easier end of professional career. As a part of the project we started so called players lounge, where players can, in the presence of social pedagogues and /or instructors, easily master the school curriculum while close to the sports hall. Along with the players lounge, we organized social gatherings for players’ parents. At the gatherings, athletes and their parents have a chance to socialize with various public figures and learn about their life experiences through a variety of topics (e.g. Sport and Education, Parents in sport, Sport and nutrition). The goal is to provide knowledge for the members HASTK Mladost Iskon and a chance to find potential areas of work that interest them.
