Leading up to the Paralympic Games in London 2012, Allianz Zagreb has joined the global expansions of Allianz partnerships with the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) by signing a two-year agreement with the Croatian Paralympic Committee (HPO).
Through this HPO has gained a partner, and become one of eight national paralympic associations sponsored by Allianz. With the two-year renewal of the global partnership with the IPC, Allianz SE has been promoted to the unique status of “international partner”, while the local cooperation of Allianz with national paralympic committees now includes eight countries: Australia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, Switzerland and Turkey.
“Allianz sees the top class paralympic athletes like Sanja Milojević and Mihovil Španja as role models for true motivation and credible persons for giving advice about resolving personal crises”, stated the Chairman of the Board Boris Galić. “Paralympic athletes help us to better understand the needs of our clients by highlighting how sport helps individuals deal with personal disadvantages”.
On the 29th of September 2010, under the motto "Those who play, love each other" in Croatia started the project Paralympic school day...
The first web site for sports organizations in the region has been launched in February 2010....
